I was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and grew up in a nominal Christian home until the age of 15 when I had a powerful encounter with Jesus at a youth retreat. My father had passed away when I was 11 years old. This impacted me and left a void in my soul. Over time I gained the revelation that I had a Heavenly Father who deeply loved and cared about all aspects of my life. Besides a few bumps in the road, especially in my early years, I have since then followed Christ with my whole heart. Christ is the foundation of my life and being.
At age 22 I married Tammie, my wonderful wife and life partner. We have shared an interesting and diverse journey (mostly my fault) living in Regina, Saskatchewan for our first ten years. There we were blessed with three daughters who are all now in their teens. We returned to our home province of British Columbia, and reside in the community of Maple Ridge.
My vocations have included being a Steam Engineer, Pastor (Church Planter), Mill Worker/Industrial First Aid Attendant, Sales Consultant and founder of Fivefold Enterprises (a Sales Consulting Business which included contracting my services to develop new business for small and medium companies, Network Marketing, launching a new product into Canada, and ultimately Fivefold Network). My passion has been entrepreneurial and learning diverse strategies to develop long-term wealth and coaching others.
Fivefold Network was developed out of my own life experience, learning who I was as a person, and my talents and passions which have formed my life purpose.
The Five Pillars: "Health and Fitness" developed very young as I was a very active boy and sports were a big part of my childhood and teens. (Soccer, baseball, football, street and ice hockey, basketball, track and field, tennis, golf, tennis, and in my teen years weight training became a regular part of my life) As a teen in high school I started working at a Health Food Store and then a Fitness Equipment and Sports Nutrition Store and I have continued to have a passion to optimize health through ongoing studying these subjects.
"Alive in Christ" has been an ongoing passion to know and follow the One who gave His life on Cross for my salvation. My hunger for God, to know His Word, and to live in the life of the Spirit will be my life long pursuit. My desire to be a partaker in the His Kingdom work has had me actively involved in evangelism, teaching and proclaiming the Word, Church planting and short-term missions in Asia and Mexico. Fivefold Network gives me the ability to impact people around the world with the message of being "Alive in Christ" through the power of the internet.
"Relationally Growing" was birthed out of my desire to be a better husband, father, leader and friend. Having the privilege and responsibilities of these types of relationships are not for the faint in heart. There is a great reward and price in giving of your self to others, to form committed and lasting relationships. All great relationships have common expressions: such as love, trust, honor, respect, sacrifice, giving, caring, mercy, forgiveness, putting others before your self and empowering others into their purposes. We were all created to experience meaningful friendships; but the depth we experience is directly related to how much we are willing to learn and apply relationship principles to our own life. This is were the tire meets the road in growing relationally.
"Restoring the Soul" evolved out of my late twenties and most of my thirties. I began the journey to better understand who I was as a person through attending personal growth type seminars (mainly from Network Marketing) and reading dozens of books, listening to over a hundred tapes and watching videos. Little by little I began forming a clearer picture of who I was as a person; understanding how beliefs play a huge part in forming our present state. Setting apart time to retreat to evaluate were I am in regards to goals and personal growth has greatly helped me. I have learned without taking time for your self (with no guilt) it is impossible to mature in your soul realm. If we hope to be confident and powerful in our life purposes we need to spend time in this garden of our being.
"Wealth Creation". You can tell a person true character by how well they handle money. If this statement is true, then I had some character flaws that I needed to work on. Please do not get me wrong; I have always been diligent to look after my families needs, pay my bills, being integral with paying my taxes, and being generous in giving. But this is not wealth creation! It was not until my early thirties that I started on the journey of creating multiple streams of income (taken from the exceptional author, wealth and business coach Robert Allen). Being I was not raised with any business training, investment counsel or born with a silver spoon; I needed to take this area of my life seriously and start the education process. Let me tell you up front, "ALL EDUCATION HAS A PRICE TAG WITH IT" and so I learned much from investing (time & money) in this area and taking action with the knowledge I learned from the books and seminars.
I purchased a home as a starter, finally found a great investment broker and entered the world of IPO's and equities. Started my own company, hired and fired several accountants until I found one that looked out for my best interests and developed my own wealth team. Knowledge applied can create wonderful blessings that we can share with others to make this a better world.
